John G. Clapp (Jack) passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025.  Beloved husband of 55 years to Irene (nee Mattiacci).  Devoted father of Patrick (Denise) and John Jr. (Sarah).  Loving Pop Pop of Emma, Molly, and Benjamin.  Dear brother of Charles Clapp and brother-in-law of Frances and Robert Chambers; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

John was a retired switching technician with Verizon, where he dedicated 40 years of service.  In his free time, he enjoyed coaching at the Torresdale Boys Club and volunteering at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM.  Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in support of its youth music programs, 1241 Elm Street, Cincinnati, OH 45211.
