At the early age of 57 years old, John J. Farinella passed away peacefully on Saturday May 15, 2021 in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his family.  Before his diagnosis with pancreatic cancer, John was the type of guy to make you want to embrace every day to the fullest and laugh as often as possible. Not one bit of that changed after he was diagnosed, as he continued to soak up the sunshine by his pool with his wife and quote movies with his three sons. When not by his pool or watching movies with his family, you would likely find him at his favorite place, 16 ^th Street beach in North Wildwood, with a Coors Light in his hand. John was a long-time employee of 37 years with Exelon Limerick Generating Station. His spirits were and always will be infectious.

Loving husband of 30 years to Mary (née Lynn). Proud father of John, Jr. (Haley), Ryan, and Tyler. Devoted son of Florence and the late Louis Farinella, Jr. Beloved son-in-law to Catherine and the late Robert Lynn. Dear brother of Louis (Christie) and his many brothers and sisters-in-law. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to John's celebration of life on Thursday May 20, 2021, 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, Pa 19114, and also on Friday May 21, 2021, 9:30-10:30 AM, at Saint Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, Pa 19154, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in John's name be made to Helping Hands in Northeast, a charity that John has volunteered his time to for many years.
