John F Harley passed away suddenly July 2, 2021 at the age of 74. He was a US Air Force Vietnam Veteran, retired Philadelphia Police officer, retired court security officer at the federal courthouse and 3rd degree member of the Knight of Columbus council# 4279.

Beloved husband of 48 years to JoAnn (nee Dobson). Loving father of Jill Arena (Nicholas) and Jessica Harley-May; pop pop to Nicholas, Jenna and Bella. Dear brother to Cecilia Defeo, Roseann Kearney and the late James Harley.

Relatives, friends and members of the Phila. FOP lodge 5 are invited to gather on Friday July 9, 2021 from 9 AM to 10:45 at the Burns Funeral Home 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia PA 19114 followed by his funeral service at 11 AM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the Wounded Warriors Project would be appreciated.
