John W. Howarth, 88, passed away from this world on Sept. 21, 2015. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Theresa (nee Mayer); his sons John Howarth (Ann Marie) and Robert Howarth; his two grandchildren Marie Campbell (Steve), Johnny Howarth and his two great grandchildren Mackenzie and Jackson Campbell. John served his country as a member of the US Army's Occupational Troops in Japan. He worked as a member of the Local 161 Riggers Union for more then 40 years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in the home that he built for them on the bay in Sea Isle City. He spent much of his retirement with his dear friends at St. Charles Borromeo Knights of Columbus Council in Bensalem. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday 10 AM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 followed by his Service 11:30 AM. Burial will be held Thursday at Washington Crossing National Cem. Procession will form and leave Burns Funeral Home at 8:30 AM.
