Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Biedrzycki), son of the late Joseph and Marie Murphy, devoted father of John, Theresa "Terri", and Joseph, loving pop pop of Emma, Joseph, Chloe, and John "Jack"; dear brother of James, Gerald, Michael and the late Joseph; also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was a retired employee of the Philadelphia Inquirer and a member of the AOH Division 87.
