John J. O'Brien passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He was a retired boiler maker Local 13 after 44 years.

Beloved husband of 54 years to Bernadette (Nee Hodinski). Loving father of Jack (Carol), Michael "Timmy" O'Brien, and Bernadette O'Brien. Pop to Michael, Alyssa, Krista, Eddie, John, Shawn, Matthew, Nicholas, Jackson, Grace, Evan. Great grandfather of Michael III, Wyatt, Colt, Maive, Alia, Alexa, Zayden, Coralie, Cerelia, Jaclyn and Luna. Brother of Tommy Jo, Bobby, David, Woody, Ricky and Janice. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives, friends and members of Local 13 are invited to his viewing on Friday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 701 East Gaul St. Philadelphia, PA 19125 (at Berks St.) followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to Penn Lung Center, 8 Health Sciences Dr., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
