IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John C.
Savage
February 8, 1938 – October 17, 2025
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of John C. Savage, 87, of Langhorne, on Friday, October 17, 2025, from the effects of Parkinson's Disease. He was the husband of Jean E. Kleiser Savage for over 38 years. Born February 8, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (nee King) Savage.
John was a veteran of the Army National Guard for 4 years and received recognition for his marksmanship and sharpshooting skills. He was also a successful coach for high school softball, basketball and golf, winning league championships in every sport.
For many years he was in sales, consistently increasing his companies' profit margin. Later on, he turned to his true passion; the game of golf. He won over 180 Golf Titles and 6 Club Championships, as well as hosting tournaments for "TeamGolf" as an agent for the then touring pro, Jeff Maggert.
He continued his education in golf, became a Master Teaching Professional and Course Examiner. He was listed as high ranking in the top 100 instructors by the World Golf Teachers Federation, and authored many articles for "Golf Teaching Pro" magazine.
Surviving, in addition to his loving wife, are a brother, Richard (wife, Joan), his children; Constance (Potor), Ann (Burk), Susan (McGuckin), and Mark; six grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
