John T. Scorr, 81, passed away peacefully on May 11 ^th , 2022, surrounded by his family. John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was especially known for his sense of humor, his wit, and his love for his family and friends. He dedicated much of his life to service. John served in the U.S. Army and subsequently dedicated his career to civil service, working as a Supervisor in the Department of Licenses and Inspection for the City of Philadelphia. He was also an active member of his church, the Masons, and the Scottish Rite.

John is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Joan M. Scorr (nee McKeown). He is also survived by his beloved daughter, Dr. Laura M. Scorr, her husband Bradley A. Patton, and their son, Owen J. Patton. He was the brother of Louise Wagner, Ruth Scorr, and the late Sara "Sally" Pierson. He is also survived by his dear extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at St. Matthew Church, 3000 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19149.  Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 A.M and will be followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
