John J. White

John J. White passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026, at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Anne (nee McBride). Devoted father of John White (Andrea), Anne Thorman (Bruce), Gerard White (Lisa), and Eileen White (Paula). Loving Grandpop of Bryan, Annemarie, Gerard, Rachel, Juliette, and Andy, and proud great grandpop of Emma, Lucy, and Gerard. Dear brother of Helene Stec and Raymond White and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

 A proud graduate of North Catholic High School, John was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Following his military service, he devoted many years to serving his community as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. John was also a faithful parishioner of St. Katherine of Siena Church for more than 62 years, where his faith and commitment to his parish community were an important part of his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s memory to St. Katherine of Siena Church would be appreciated.
