Joseph Paul Arrison, III, passed away unexpectedly June 11, 2023.   A retired police officer with the City of Philadelphia after 45 years of service, Joe was also an  Army Veteran after 35 years of service.  During his military career, he served three tours, Vietnam where he was awarded the purple heart, Bosnia, and Iraq as a military police officer.

Devoted father of Karen Pellegrino (Frank), Kristy "Krissy" Murray (Douglas), Shannon Davis (Brian), Heather Jackson (Clint), and Lisa Kutchner.  Loving Pop Pop of Christina, Abby, Connor, Zach, Brigid, Caroline, Ben, Nolan, Michael, Joey, Harper, Ryan, and Jake.  Dear brother of John Arrison (Cheryl).  Former husband of Iris Arrison and loving life partner of the late Christine Barone Hammacker.  Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, military buddies and spoiling his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, June 19, 2023, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, and also Tuesday, June 20, 2023, 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM.  Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.
