He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of almost 57 years Anne (nee Durkin); and his loving children Joseph (Brenda), Frank (Lorraine), Stephen (Joan), Joann Doherty (John), and Lydia. He was Pop to 11 lucky grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. Joe was a Korean War Veteran, a long time employee of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and a proud member of Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Lourdes Council. After a long decline at home, Joe peacefully left his home on Earth to go to his home in Heaven. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Wednesday evening 7-9 P.M. and Thursday morning 8:30-9:30 A.M. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. (S. of Grant Ave.). Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church. Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
