Joseph E. passed away September 22, 2017, an Army Veteran and retired Philadelphia Police Officer.  Beloved husband of 60 years to Jean (nee McCardle).  Loving father of Jean Walsh (Thomas), Frank, Edward (Christine), Andrew (Shannon), Joanne Quattrone (Joseph) and Barbara Macker.  He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Relatives, friends and members of FOP Lodge 5 are invited to his Viewing Wednesday 7 to 9 PM and Thursday 8 to 9 AM at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave. (so. of Grant Ave.) followed by his Funeral Mass 9:30 AM St. Martha Church.  Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association 399 Market St, Suite 102, Philadelphia, Pa 19106.
