Joseph Patrick Golden passed away on April 26, 2022 at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer.   He was born on June 16, 1948 and was a lifetime resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Joe was the beloved husband to Bernadette (nee Garrigan); a beloved brother to Daniel and his wife Margaret, Robert and his wife Anne, and Richard and his wife Janet.  Also brother of the late James, Terry, and David.   He was the son of James J. Golden and Elizabeth Collins Golden.   Joe was also dearly loved by his family in law, Eamon and Florence, Seamus and Kathleen, Sean and Ann, Thomas and Geraldine, Mary and her deceased husband Donal, and Eilish and Paul.   He was the proud uncle to his nieces and nephews in the U.S. and in Ireland and was loved by his dear cousins and friends he made throughout his lifetime.   He graduated from Father Judge High School, Class of "66" and also from Lock Haven University, Class of "76".  Joe was a proud Vietnam Veteran and was also a proud member of the AOH Division 87.   He will be so dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave,. Philadelphia PA 19114) from 6PM-8PM and again Monday morning from 10AM-11AM at Burns Funeral Home.  His funeral Mass will be held at Old Saint Mary's Church (252 S. 4th St, Philadelphia, PA 19106) at 12PM.  Interment Private.
