Joseph E. Hughes passed February 5, 2021.  Beloved husband of the late Helene (nee Bethel).  Devoted father of Joseph and his wife Diane, William and his wife Bonnie.  Son of the late Genevieve and Peter.  Pre deceased by his brothers Jack, Tom, Henry, Frank, and Jim, and his sister Joan Legower.  Survived by many nieces and nephews.  A Navy Veteran, Joe retired after 45 years of loyal service from Philadelphia Electric Company.  Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday, February 10, 2021, 9:00 AM, Christ the King Church, 3252 Chesterfield Road, Philadelphia, PA 19114, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM.  Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116 in his memory would be appreciated.
