Joseph F. Viola, age 83 of Philadelphia went to God on October 4, 2023. Loving husband of Joanna Viola (nee Ruggieri) for 59 years, dedicated father to Joseph S., Anthony (Maria), Michael (Cathleen), Christopher (Kristen) and caring grandfather to Anthony J. (Jennifer), MaryKate (Tom) Korb-Parker, Kevin (Kiley), Joseph W. (Jamie), Kelly, Michael, Jack, Matthew, Melissa, Christopher, Justin and adoring great-grandfather to Ellie Rose. Beloved son to the late Joseph and Diletta Viola and brother to the late Leonard Viola. He was loved by all his in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe was a proud graduate of Roman Catholic High School and Villanova University where he earned his degree in accounting and went on to be a CPA.

Joe was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed attending daily mass and Sunday mass with his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his family which included many delicious home cooked dinners by his wife, countless birthday celebrations, family vacations at the shore and holiday gatherings with his large loving family. Joe attended shows and sporting events of both his children and grandchildren. Joe will be remembered for always being positive and reminding everyone to cherish and spend time with their families. The way he lived his life every day, even his last few days, was proof of this. His tag line to his family every time you saw or talked to him was "Love You and God Bless You!"

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday October 8, 2023 from 6:30-8:30 PM and Monday October 9, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 AM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at ST. DOMINIC CHURCH, 8504 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19136. Interment St. Dominic Cemetery.
