Beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Anna Glenn. Dearest sister of Arlene Glenn Simolike (John). Loving aunt of Jennifer Brown (Matthew), John Glenn Simolike; and great aunt of Samuel, Thomas and Anna Brown.
Joyce is also survived by close cousins Eileen Shirey (Joseph), Ronald Swartz (Betty), Sandra Pytlewski (the late Louis), Norman Glenn (Eileen), Thomas Glenn (Ann), and Marge Glenn, as well as their children and grandchildren.

Also survived by her many close and supportive friends, including Carlos Otero (Kelly), Marianne Brooks, Marie Fusco, Kathy Clark, as well as loving neighbors and church friends.

Joyce graduated from Temple University in 1968 with a B.A. in Education, later earning her M.A. from Temple. She was a devoted teacher from 1968 until 2004 in the inner city schools of Philadelphia, especially Miller and Moffet Elementary Schools. She won awards and recognition for her teaching skills and served as a positive influence on many students. After retiring, she became very active at the Memorial Church of St. Luke, in Northeast Philadelphia, where she lent her talents to the Food Bank and other church activities until illness slowed her. Her quick smile, contagious laugh and generous spirit will be missed by many people and her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday morning, 9-10:45 A.M. at the Memorial Church of St. Luke, 1946 Welsh Rd., Phila., PA 19115. Funeral Service 11 A.M. Entombment Sunset Memorial Park.
