Obituary

Kathleen M. Kuhlen (nee Gannon) passed away peacefully December 22, 2020 at her home with her family by her side.

Kathleen grew up in Highland Park, next door to the love of her life, Joe; she went to St. Laurence, then to Upper Darby High School. Kathleen and Joe made their home in Upper Darby on Coverly Road. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Cyril of Alexandria school when her girls were young, being a Brownie Troop leader and various other activists her girls were involved in. Kathleen was a favorite "Mom" to her girls' friends and neighborhood kids. She and Joe were a fixture in their neighborhood, always there for a chat or to help in any way they could.

In later years, Kathleen was able to help and volunteer for her grandchildren's interest as well. She took such pleasure in watching her grandchildren in events such as karate, dance recitals, soccer games, baseball games, and school plays. Family was precious to her. Kathleen enjoyed working and made many friends; she was always smiling and had a positive attitude. Even during her significant health challenges, she had an amazing smile and sweet words to share with those who were caring for her. Kathleen touched so many lives, some in small ways and so many in deep ways that continue to shape them today. She will be missed. Let us continue to remember her by keeping her smile and positive cheery attitude with us to share with others.

She is the wife of the late Joseph. Loving mother of Lee Gillis, Mandy Ohler (Kevin), Laura Martoccio (Scott, Sr.). Mom-Mom to Michael, Megan (Justin), Scott Jr., Bailey, Melissa, Zachary, Joshua, and Juliette. Mom-Mom Kuhlen to Abrianna and Makayla. Predeceased by her parents Kathleen "Kitty" and Robert Gannon. Sister of Helen Chandler, Margie Gannon, Judy Sauers, and the late Robert T. Gannon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A gathering will held on Monday evening December 28, 2020, 6 PM to 8 PM at the Burns Funeral Home, 1514 Woodbourne Rd. Levittown PA 19057.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday 9:30 AM at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 Oxford Valley Rd. Fairless Hills, PA 19030. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to St. Frances Cabrini Church would be appreciated.
