Kathleen Marie O'Donnell-Spiller, lovingly known as "Kathy OD," passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family.

Kathy was the beloved wife of 35 years to Steve Spiller and the adoring mother of Devon Spiller (Kevin Dougherty). She was the loving daughter of the late John Sr. and Barbara O'Donnell, and dear sister of Karen Palmer (Eddie), Colleen Beck (Fran), and the late John O'Donnell Jr. (Laurie).

A dedicated employee of Cigna Insurance, Kathy retired after 35 years of service. Her zest for life was evident in everything she did. An avid Philadelphia sports fan, she loved cheering on the Phillies and Eagles. She was also an enthusiastic athlete herself, playing volleyball, softball, and flag football throughout her life. Known for her warmth and hospitality, Kathy loved hosting gatherings - her home was always open to family and friends for good music, laughter, and long-lasting memories. She found joy in the simple things, like sitting outside by her baby pool with a crossword puzzle in hand and the radio playing in the background. Kathy was also known for always having the perfect one-liner for any moment, and her jokes will live on through all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, July 10, 2025, 6:00 PM to 8:00 Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia. A second viewing will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM.  Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an organization supporting research for atypical parkinsonian disorders and dementia, such as CUREPSP, AFTD, LBDA, or Brain Support Network.
