Kathleen M. Schaeffer (née Barnes) passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on April 23, 2025, at the age of 79.

Beloved wife of the late Charles G. Schaeffer Jr., Kathleen was a devoted mother to Charles III, William, and Jennifer McFadden (Daniel). She was the cherished Mom Mom of Charles IV, Sabrina, Courtney, Shauna, Kyra, and Daniel Jr., and the proud great-grandmother of seven.

Kathleen was a dear sister to Carol Gault (Tom), Amy Jerla (the late Tom), Mark Barnes, Helene Price (Dan) and the late James Barnes (Mary), Judi Herron (Rich), and Timmy Barnes.  Sister-in-law to Deborah McLaughlin (James); also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be held privately.
