Kathleen Staufenberg (nee Menarde) of Philadelphia, formerly of Holland and Ivyland, died in her home on July 24, 2018, surrounded by her devoted family after a courageous 14 year battle with cancer.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife to the late Joseph W. Staufenberg for 51 years.  Daughter of the late Nicholas and Dorothy Menarde, and sister of the late James Menarde.

Kathleen is survived by her dear children and their spouses, Lynn Forsythe (Craig) and Joseph Staufenberg (Brendalee). She was also the proud mom-mom to three grandchildren, Nicholas, Daniel and Kaitlyn.

Kathleen was a registered nurse and was a wonderful caregiver to her patients, friends and family.   She was an accomplished cook, traveled throughout the world to many countries, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Relatives and friends may call from 11:45 to 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 8 ^th at St. Katherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the Penn Abramson Cancer Center, or to the charity of your choice, in memory of Kathleen Staufenberg.
