Linda Ann Retallick, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 12, 2023, at the age of 75. She will always be remembered as a dedicated sister, a cherished aunt, and a loving daughter.

Born on November 28, 1947 to John and Irma Retallick, Linda grew up in Philadelphia alongside her younger sister, Donna. She graduated from St. Hubert Catholic High School in 1965, and went on to serve in a thirty-year career with the United States Postal Service.

Linda was known for her outgoing personality, attention to detail, and generous heart. She prioritized spending quality time with her family, especially her nephews and nieces, and frequently took them on shopping trips and vacations. She was well-known for her storytelling ability, aided no doubt by her exceptional memory and sharp wit. Everyone loved Linda.

An avid sightseer and adventurer, Linda spent much of her free time traveling the world. Hawaii held a special place in her heart. Linda enjoyed watching movies, reading, and making ceramics. She was a cherished figure during the holidays, not least of all for the trunkful of Christmas presents she would bring. Linda always made time for whomever needed her, and provided wisdom and insight often.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents John and Irma Retallick (née Werner), Linda is survived by her sister, Donna Soska (née Retallick) of Philadelphia, PA, who was a constant source of support and love throughout her life. Linda was also a central figure in the lives of her nephews and nieces: Michael Soska and wife Amy (née Ward) of Langhorne, PA; Tiffany Dolan (née Soska) and husband Thomas of Brooklawn, NJ; Ashley Soska of Philadelphia, PA; and Jonathan Thomson and wife Coleen (née Buglino) of Bensalem, PA, along with twelve great-nephews and nieces.

A funeral service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 9:30-10:45 AM at the St. Katherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114. Funeral Mass will be at 11 A.M.  She will be interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150. In lieu of flowers, please donate directly to a charity of your choice.

Linda Retallick will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched with her warmth, generosity, and love.
