Louis S. Bluver

Louis S. Bluver of Rittenhouse Square, passed peacefully Friday, August 28, 2026. Lou, a life-long resident of Philadelphia, was predeceased by his parents Al and Edithe Bluver. He was a travel industry entrepreneur, owner of Inter-Continental Services, past President of the Philadelphia Travel Managers Association, extensive world traveler and a member of the Travelers’ Century Club, having traveled to over 150 countries, including many remote and unusual destinations.

Lou was an avid theater goer and supporter of both Broadway and numerous Philadelphia theater companies, including the Louis Bluver Theater at the Drake. Also interested in cinema, Lou was a board member of the Philadelphia Film Society, had an extensive library of films, including many silent films, and provided support for movie productions and film festivals. He was also a Mason, member of the Philadelphia Kiwanis Club and a Big Brother volunteer. Private interment at Laurel Hill East Cemetery.
