Lucy M. Matthews (née Gentile), age 93, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her devoted children, Donna McGeehan (John), Lisa Zeitz (Lance), Barbara Carberry (Daniel), and the late James III (Theresa).  Loving Mom Mom to Lauren, Jessica, Jonathan, Melissa, Stephanie, Alexandra, Tori, and Rebecca, and her great-grandchildren (her love bugs), Aedan, Dylan, Jack, and Tanner. Lucy was the last surviving member of the Gentile family, which was comprised of eleven siblings, her memory will live on through her cherished family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather Monday September 23, 2024, 9:30 AM St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Lucy's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
