IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret A.
Kirgin (Nee Goatson)
March 21, 1942 – February 18, 2019
Margaret A. Kirgin (nee Goatson) passed away February 18, 2019 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of John F. Kirgin for 42 years. Loving sister of the late Colin Goatson. Dearest aunt of Andrew Goatson, Sharon, Angela, and Colleen. She is also survived by many loving friends and family. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday 9:30 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Rd. Bensalem, PA 19020 followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Ephrem's Church at the above mentioned address would be appreciated.
If there was a person who could melt your heart with a smile, or captivate you with her lovely British accent, Margaret was the one. Her lust for detail and perfection, was evident, in everything she did, especially in her dressmaking accomplishments for some 35 years.
Mostly all of the female professional tennis players, of the 60's, into the 80's, wore something made from Margaret's hand. If it wasn't the dress Billie Jean King wore when she played Bobby Riggs in 1973, it was the wedding dress Chris Evert wore when she married John Lloyd. Without a doubt, all the tennis greats knew that she was the go-to person for all their dressing needs.
And now that she is receiving her just reward, far from the tennis court, I can only say, as her husband, I can't believe I was the luckiest one to have shared my life with her. 5 1/2 years of advancing Parkinson's Disease took its toll, depriving her of most of the things she loved to do, and people she wanted to be with. I often say, it took me 30 years to find her, and even 42 years of marriage wasn't near enough time to spend together. So, rest in peace now my love, as my memories of you will have to hold me until we are together.
Love always,
Johnny
