Margaretta M. Kane (née McManus) passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, at the age of 94. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Kane, Sr. and the devoted mother of Robert H. Kane, Jr. (the late Elaine), Edward Kane (Lisa), Joseph Kane (Barbara), and Margaretta Strain (Gary). Loving grandmom of 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of William McManus (Judy).

A proud graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls and Fitzgerald Mercy School of Nursing, Margaretta dedicated her life to caring for others. As a registered nurse, she served in several hospitals throughout the Philadelphia region and spent over 20 years working in a pediatrician's office, bringing comfort and care to countless families.

Margaretta had a passion for volunteering, especially at the Forrest Theater, where she found joy in handing out programs—and catching a show whenever she could. A long-time resident of Delaire Landing, she remained an active and engaged member of her community.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, September 6, 2025, 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM.  Interment will be held at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
