Obituary

Marie Tranovich passed peacefully October 23rd 2023. Former resident of Cinnaminson, NJ and current resident Bonita Springs, FL.

Wife, mother, grandmother (lovingly called Mamuska) and great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many, who cherished her.

Born Philadelphia PA, attended Nazareth Academy and met her wonderful husband of 68 years at Drexel University.  During her early years at the urging of her mother she was an accomplished accordion player and played alongside her pre-deceased loving sister Joanna Mudrock Evans and brother Robert Evans.

She raised five children and loved to vacation at their Lake house at Lake Wallenpaupack, PA.   As the children grew more independent, she sought to help others with volunteering for the Sacred Heart teens group and the Cinnaminson School board.  She ran art lessons at the Cinnaminson Community Center and was a devoted supporter of Brother Jude's Place in Philadelphia. After moving to Bonita Springs Florida, she continued her love of painting and co-chaired the development of The Art League of Bonita Springs now called the Centers for the Arts Bonita Springs.  She and Steve lived a few years at the Villages in Florida and then for the last years resided back in Bonita Springs.

Pre-deceased by her loving husband Stephen Tranovich and eldest daughter Cindy Tranovich. Loving Mother of Karen Fitz-Patrick, Lori Tranovich, Tom Tranovich (Beverly), and Milissa Tranovich (the late Ugyen). Grandmother to Sean, Kelly and Erin Fitz-Patrick, Alyssa and LynnMarie Tranovich, Stephen and Leah Tranovich, great grandmother to Cadence, Noah, Lynx, Onyx, Parker, Luca and Emma.

Marie and Steve enjoyed many long years together traveling and spending time with their family and entertaining with friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday evening November 3rd at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia PA from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Additional viewing on Saturday November 4th at Sacred Heart Church, 103 4th Street, Riverton New Jersey from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM and Mass at 12:00 PM followed by a graveside service immediately after at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Center for the Arts Bonita Springs, where the Marie C. Tranovich Scholarship Fund has been created to award a scholarship each year in her honor, to a student in need.  Simply call their offices 239-495-8989 or mail donations to them at Center for the Arts Bonita Springs , 26100 Old 41 Rd.
