Mario J. Notte

May 9, 1934 — April 1, 2026

Mario J. Notte passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at the age of 91.

He was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Evelyn Notte (née Fulginiti), and the devoted husband of the late Katherine Notte (née Martin). Mario was a loving father to Joseph Notte (Doreen), and a dear brother to the late Letizia, Geraldine, and Natalie. He is also survived by several generations of loving nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in the little Italy section of North Philadelphia, Mario was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Eternal Church. As a boy, his passion for Philadelphia sports began as one of the “knot hole gang” watching baseball games at Connie Mack Stadium. He proudly served as a Corporal in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1954. He went on to work as a utility laborer with Local 49 for a decade before joining the Teamsters Local 470 where he spent 20+ years as a truck driver and steward. Mario found great joy in music, movies, and food. He especially liked listening to Frank Sinatra and other artists of that era while enjoying his “Sunday gravy and macaroni’s.” He was a loving devoted husband, father, and family man.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday April 9, 2026 at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, followed by his service at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
