Mark Fischer passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, at the age of 69.
Beloved husband of 48 years to Marilyn (née Costello), Mark was a devoted father to Mark, Jr. (Lauren), Michael (Katie), Matthew (Maggie), and Christopher (Claire). He was a loving and proud Poppy to Drew, Lily, Isla, Jack, Ryan, Duke, Madelyn, Peggy, Caroline, Chip, William, and Theodore.
Mark was the dear brother of Gregory (Barbara), the late Paul, and the late Nancy Howe (Pat). He was also preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Clare. He will be sadly missed by his lifelong best friends, Bill and Rita Logan. Mark also leaves behind many cherished extended family members and friends.
Mark spent 42 years of his career as a store manager for Pathmark where he met some of his closest friends. For more than 30 years, he enjoyed spending much of his time at the baseball field watching and coaching his four sons. During the summers, he could be found floating around his pool listening to Motown. At night, he never missed a rerun of The Andy Griffith Show.
Over the past 15 years, Mark found his greatest joy in life as Poppy to his 12 grandchildren. Christmas Eve at Poppy’s house made Santa look cheap. Through endless hours on FaceTime calls and weekend sleepovers, he always embraced the time he could have with his grandchildren. They will remember him for his patience and generosity, but most of all, for his unconditional love.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mark’s memory may be made to Conwell-Egan Catholic High School, 611 Wistar Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030.
