entire life in Fishtown. A Korean War Veteran Pop was a pillar of his community, a friend to all, and a family man at heart.
Celebrated as the Fishtown Beer Man, Marty's life was one of kindness, love, joy, laughter, and commitment to his Catholic faith. He possessed a natural talent for storytelling, with a repertoire from his many life experiences that could captivate any audience. His jokes and many sayings brought smiles and laughter to those around him.A devoted son, husband, father, uncle, and friend, Marty's love for his family was immense. He wore many jeff caps with grace, but perhaps none fit him as perfectly as that of Pop and Old Poppy. His unconditional love and support were the
foundation of his family, creating cherished memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts. Marty's passion for life extended beyond his love for his family and friends. He had a deep connection to his neighborhood through his countless known and unknown acts of kindness. An avid gardener, lover of Turner Classic movies, Seinfeld, Irish Music, chocolate, ice cream, Hershey's chocolate syrup - actually anything sweet.
Marty found joy in all of life's moments. In keeping with Marty's caring spirit and love for Fishtown, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Holy Name Parish and Palmer Cemetery.Marty's legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness. As we remember him, let us
carry forward his light, embodying the warmth and generosity he showed to all.
