Mary Amelia Ciarlante (nee Leipert), passed away in the early morning of Monday, May 18, 2020, after marking her milestone 90th birthday on May 8th.  Devoted wife of the late Anthony B. Sr., loving mother of Anthony B. Jr. (deceased), Francis X. (Kathy), M.A. Mitru (Irene Martinez), Roseanna Meehan (Tommy), and dear grandmom of Kate, Anthony, Thomas, Roseanna and Matthew.  Also survived by her sisters Frances Tanghe and Roseanne Shelton, and brother John Leipert (Dorothy) and by a large, extended, loving family.  Mary was a generous, loving woman and confidant and friend to many.

Relatives and friends are invited to live stream her Funeral Mass, Tuesday, May 26, 2020, 12:45 PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Mary's memory to Caring for Friends: Caringforfriends.org215-464-2224 (formerly Aid for Friends).  Caring for Friends is a local nonprofit organization that provides food and friendship to elderly and home bound people in Greater Philadelphia.  For many years, Mary & Tony were loyal donors and volunteers, cooking and delivering meals.  Mary was a true caregiver with a big heart.  She took care of many neighbors and extended family throughout her lifetime.  Recently, Mary lived at Paul's Run Retirement Community, where she was taken care of by the competent and compassionate staff.  Her days were filled with friendly caring people and many fun activities.  She traded slot machines for bingo cards.  Our family is ever grateful to the Paul's Run staff and volunteers for helping Mary to enjoy her final years without worry, anxiety or pain, and with good company, engaging activities, and excellent care.
