Obituary for Mary C. Finizio (nee Cantilli)

Mary C. Finizio (nee Cantilli), of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Finizio, devoted mother to Lauren Killen (the late Ted), Raymond (Joann), Stephen, and Michael, and cherished "mom-mom" to Jacqueline, Raymond Jr., Christopher, Valerie, Madalyn, and Aiden. She was adored as a great mom-mom to Asher, Alessia, and Nevaeh. Mary was also the dear sister of the late Evelyn Sullivan.

Born in White Plains, NY, Mary's creative spirit shone through in her art and love for sewing, hobbies that brought her great joy throughout her life. She met her future husband, Ray, and moved to Philadelphia, where they built a life together and raised their family.

Mary was a kind, loving, and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured time spent with her family. Her warm heart, nurturing presence, and deep love for her family will be missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114), followed by a Memorial Service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to a charity of your choice.
