Obituary

GEIER, Mary Ann, 64, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on February 15, 2022. Beloved sister

of Catherine, Christopher, Margaret Harris (Mike), Michael (Shannon), Osmund (Merrill), and

Patricia Fields (Scott); three nieces, Alexandra, Elizabeth and Moira. Mary Ann was the first

born of the late Osmund Charles Geier Jr. and Margaret Small Geier. She was the niece of

Mercedes Harkins (formerly of Philadelphia) and a fun loving cousin to more than 25.

Born in Philadelphia and educated in Richmond, VA, she was a graduate of J.R. Tucker

High School and Virginia Commonwealth University. She was Asst VP, Senior Interactive

Product Manager at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC and formerly Director of Web and

Interactive Strategy at Einstein Health, both in Philadelphia. She was a user experience

and digital transformation advocate and an energetic facilitator, collaborator and mentor.

She was a lifelong learner and was always seeking to understand more or working toward a

certification in her many interest areas. In addition to her professional talents, she served

as her family genealogist and received the Historical Society of Pennsylvania Foundation in

Genealogy Certificate. She was a talented musician, artist and seamstress. She will be

remembered for her devotion to family, her humor, intelligence, love of music, history, art,

science, and patio gardening. She loved living in Philadelphia.

Penn Medicine Hospice at Rittenhouse for their kindness and dedication.
