Obituary

Mary Karpac died Tuesday at her residence at Spring Village at Floral Vale in Yardley, PA. She was 90. Born in Newton Falls, Ohio, Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Nagy) Vasko. For the past 15 years, she has resided in Bucks County, PA and previously had lived in Trenton, NJ and Bordentown, NJ. Mary was an excellent cook and maintained her heritage of cooking Slovak foods; she was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Rite Catholic Church, Levittown, PA. Mary was a retired sewing machine operator, last working for Atlantic Products Company in Trenton; she made luggage and golf bags as well as parachutes. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Emeric H. Karpac and is survived by her son John E. Karpac of Langhorne, PA; her daughter, Marianne Brown of Boston, MA; and two grandsons, Nicholas Brown and Matthew Brown of Boston, MA., and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday at 9:30 AM at the Burns Funeral Home, 1514 Woodbourne Rd., Levittown, PA. Panachida services will be held at 11 AM. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church, 1773 Woodbourne Rd., Levittown, PA. Burial will follow at Brig. General William Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Memorial contributions in Mary's memory may be made to: The Center for Cancer Education, 130 Almshouse Rd., Richboro, PA 18954.
