Michael Bollen of Burlington Township passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. He was 50.
Born Aug. 18, 1960, in Johnstown, N.Y., he grew up in Willingboro, and attended John F. Kennedy High School. Mike worked in the construction field all his life.
He was a sports fan and loved the Eagles and the Phillies. He enjoyed fishing, and a good round of golf with his buddies. Mike had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed the company of friends, and will be missed by many. Mike is survived by his wife, Jill; his parents, Eleanor and Mike Howell; and his sisters, Kelley Bollen and Melissa Kowalewski, and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews. He also was 'uncle Mike' to his goddaughters, Sarah and Colleen Sullivan of Edgewater Park, and was 'daddy' to his best friend, 'Magic', who shared his chair and his snacks.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 158 Warren Street, Beverly, where the family will receive guests from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Drive, Westampton, NJ 08060.
