Michael Burns passed away on January 29, 2022 at the age of 78. He was the loving husband of Geraldine (nee Craig), the devoted father of Craig (Irene) and Michael (Jennifer), a doting Poppy to Elizabeth, Grace, Amelia, Maxwell and Marcella and an amazing Uncle to Jill, Michelle, Amber, Lisa, Paul and many other loving nieces and nephews. Mike was the son of the late Thomas and Ethel (Attewell) and a dear brother to Thomas (the late Bernice), Jack (Joan) and the late Richard and Joseph. He was the brother-in-law of Jeanne Hauser (Gus), Betty Anne Sibilla (the late Andy) and Edward Craig (Sandi). Mike was a U.S. Army Veteran and proudly served the City of Philadelphia as a Police Officer for 30 years. He was also a retired Security Officer for GlaxoSmithKline. His greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his grandchildren – especially on his many trips to Disney World. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, Feb.5 ^th , 2022 at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Followed by his service at 3:00 p.m. Internment is private.
