In loving memory of Michael Anthony Camarota, who peacefully passed away on January 13, 2024, in Long Branch, New Jersey, at the age of 84.

Born on December 18, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, Michael embarked on a decades-spanning career with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA). Beyond his professional life, Mike found immense joy in the world of music, where he not only cultivated a passion but also owned and operated his own DJ business, adding his own special touch to countless weddings and birthday celebrations.

Mike's heart overflowed with love for his family, and he cherished moments spent together, particularly during summer weeks down the shore and the excitement of visits to amusement parks. His sociable nature endeared him to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him; Mike found true happiness in the simple pleasure of connecting with friends and loved ones, engaging in heartfelt conversations and catching up on the joys of life.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 37 years, Rita.  He is survived by his two step-sons, Jason Sywak and Paul Kapish.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather Thursday, January 25, 2024, 10:00 AM Burns Funeral Home, 1514 Woodbourne Rd, Levittown, PA 19057, followed by Words of Remembrance 11:00 AM.  Interment will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery, 25 Byberry Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Michael's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, honoring his life and contributing to the fight against this challenging disease.
