Michael J. Costello, Jr.

Michael J. Costello, Jr. passed away suddenly on June 18, 2026, at the age of 35.

Beloved son of Patricia Costello and the late Michael J. Costello, Sr.; dear brother of Erin Paynter (Robert); and loving uncle of Riley and Ronan. Michael is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Michael was a graduate of St. Timothy School, Class of 2005, and Father Judge High School, Class of 2009. He went on to work as a Journeyman Technician-A with IBEW Local 98.

Michael had a passion for hockey, especially roller hockey, which he enjoyed playing with his friends for many years. He was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Philadelphia Flyers. He also loved fishing, especially spending time on the water with his father.

In one final act of generosity, Michael chose to be an organ donor through the New Jersey Sharing Network, giving the gift of life and hope to others in need.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at St. Timothy Church, 3001 Levick Street, Philadelphia, PA 19149, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
