Michael J. Gross

Michael J. Gross passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara Gross and devoted father of Deborah Grech (Michael), Russell Hull, Kenneth Edmonds (Diana), and the late Ruthellyn Brown. He was a loving Pop-pop to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Dear brother of Joseph (Donna), Nicholas (Claire), Margaret Johnson (the late Bill), Maria Hogan (the late Jack), John (Kathie), Regina Rocchi (Michael), Catherine Lydon (Michael), and the late William (Irene). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A proud United States Army Veteran, Michael dedicated 34 years of service as a Police Officer with the City of Philadelphia before his retirement. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, and his commitment to public service.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, followed by his Funeral Service at 8:00 PM.

Interment will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA. Funeral procession will form and leave Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, on Friday at 8:00 AM.
