Obituary

Michael C. Haniman passed April 25, 2025, following a brief illness. Son of the late Pauline and William Haniman, Michael was a devoted husband of 47 years to Patricia (née Burkle), and a loving father to Jennifer Johnson (Michael), Chris Durkin (Neiva, Gita), Colleen Haniman, Michael W. Haniman, and Erik Haniman (Norah). He was a cherished Pop Pop to Liam, Zoe, Morgan, Emily, and Jared. Dear brother of the late William Haniman and Barbara Haniman.

He grew up in Penndel, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Neshaminy High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam. Upon returning to the US and an honorable discharge, he continued to serve his country working at the Defense Logistics Agency in Philadelphia for more than 40 years. Alongside Patricia, he raised his family in the Mayfair neighborhood of Philadelphia. Michael was a humble family man who was never concerned with nice clothes or cars. Instead, he dedicated his time and money to providing a safe and loving home for his family. He was a lifelong athlete that was always trying to remain physically active.  He was passionate about sports, especially baseball and the Phillies. He worked for several years as an usher at Citizens Bank Park and continued playing softball and coaching youth baseball in retirement. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
