IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael
Quaranto
February 4, 1939 – September 15, 2023
Michael Quaranto passed away peacefully September 15, 2023, after a brief illness. Husband of the late Catherine. Devoted father of Michael (Lisa), Gregory, and Christopher. Loving Grandpop of Ashley (Anthony), Michael Ryan (Iliana), Nina Mae, Tyler, Christopher, Nicholas, Danielle, Sophia, Anthony, and many great grandchildren.
Mike was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served for 27 years. He also worked as a civilian for the Naval Inventory Control Point in Philadelphia for more than 20 years, finally retiring in 2005. Before and during his retirement, Mike volunteered his time in many ways, especially to the Friends of St. Francis and St. Dominic Church in Northeast Philadelphia where he volunteered as the weekend church sacristan until just 4 weeks ago.
Mike was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary everyday. He was willing to help anyone and prayed for everyone. Above all else, Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and his many friends as well as his dog Rags and late dog Daisy. He was a devoted grandpop and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Mike had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be truly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have been in his life and loved by him.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather Friday, September 29, 2023, 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM.
