Michael J. passed away after a brief illness on July 10, 2015. Son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Shields. Loving fiance of Diana Ryan. Devoted brother of Thomas (Deborah), Joseph, Stephen, Joanne Charpentier (James) and John (Kathleen). "Uncle Boparino" to numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was an active member of Knights of Columbus-Our Lady of Lourdes Council of Holmesburg, the A.O.H. and Men of Malvern. Michael devoted a lot of his free time to many different charitable organizations. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday Eve 6-9 PM and Friday 8:30-9:30 AM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 followed by his Funeral Mass 10 AM at St. Dominic Church. Interment Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Men of Malvern, 315 S.
