A longtime resident of Juniata and born and raised in Kensington passed away on June 22, 2014. Babe was 84 years young, a very independent, lovely and gracious woman who enjoyed life. She very much loved her new home and enjoyed her trips to the casino and N. Wildwood, but most of all, Babe loved spending time with her family. She never missed a family celebration or get together, and if we were lucky we would see her do her signature dance, the camel walk. Through the years Babe faced some serious medical problems, but the love she had for her family and the love and support they gave in return is what got her through these rough times. We were blessed to have her. Babe was a generous and very genuine person, a great mom and mom mom. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. She will be in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace Babe, We Love You!
She is the beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Sr., devoted mother of Kathy Ochs (Paul), Robby (Colleen), Bebe Wurtenberg (Bugsy) and the late Joseph R. Jr. (Donna), loving mom mom of 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday 8:30- 10:45 AM, Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., followed by her Funeral Mass 11:30 AM, Holy Innocents Church, 1337 E. Hunting Park Ave., Phila, PA, 19124. Interment is Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Holy Innocents Church in her memory would be appreciated.
