She was blessed with extraordinary beauty, and a soul to match.
This past Thursday, Jan 13, the heart Nancy Louis Cook McGill spent a lifetime sharing with others, tired and stopped while sleeping at the home of her daughter in Cherry Hill. After a long battle with heart disease, she passed on to peace. Nancy was 75 years young.
When Jesus greets her, he will find a fine example of his teachings. From her childhood in Bridesburg and Northwood, through her graduation from Frankford High, to her professional life at Mrs Pauls, Nazareth Hospital, and Philmont CC, all came to know a Nancy filled with compassion, forgiveness, caring and love for others.
This was especially true and seen in the hopeful spirit she instilled in her children Louis, Glenn, Vicki, and Jennifer.
They, along with her brother Bill Cook, sister in-law Joan Cook and 9 precious grandchildren, will be on hand to greet friends and well wishers Tuesday night from 7PM-9PM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 as well as Wednesday morning from 9 AM to 10AM. A funeral service will follow at St James Lutheran Church 5185 Castor Ave. Phila., PA 19124 Wednesday morning 11 AM, with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. God blessed us with her life, and now welcomes her home. In lieu of flowers family prefers donations to Go Red For Women/American Heart Assoc. P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 in her memory.
