Nicholas A. Cieri passed away February 9, 2021. Beloved husband of 41 years to Cindy (nee Efron). Beloved father to Charles (Hannah) and Kyle (Jackie). Grandpa to Nicholas, August, Simone, Torin and Great Grandpa to Benjamin, Slayter, and Elowen. Nicholas is also survived by his brother Tom and sister Marlene.
Nick volunteered and served in the US Army. He also hitchhiked across the USA multiple times and vacationed in Nicaragua during an active civil war.
He will be terribly missed for his wise consult, fierce family loyalty, and a sincere generosity that he extended to friends and strangers alike. The mark left on those he touched will survive him for generations to come. His family and friends can honor his memory by activating their own willpower, bravery, and humility and thinking of him to find the courage to do the right thing over the easy thing- as he did without hesitation or care to consequence.
A simple man, he cherished simple things like good tools and watching the eagles- win or lose- his devotion was dauntless. He had a good life but not an easy one- he never stopped fighting; like a true hero he willed himself to fight for life until there was almost nothing left to bury.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday from 12PM-2PM at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 immediately followed by his service. He will be buried privately on family property on the side of a rugged hillside in the forest of Northern Vermont.
