Obituary
Owen G. Conlon, Jr. passed away Tuesday February 11, 2020 quietly at home surrounded by his loving family. He was just 86 on his birthday January 27. Owen was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia and a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School in 1952. Owen was born and raised a Roman Catholic and was a devout follower most of his life. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret R. (nee Zimbardo) for over 37 years; predeceased by his wife Beverly Jane. Loving father of Deborah Snyder (Bob), Nancy Geiger (Dave), James Cavanagh (Kim), Diane Gardner (Ed), and the late Christine Cavanagh. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his sister Jeanne Corbett (Eugene). Owen and his family appreciate and are thankful for the loving dedicated care from his aide Nevelyn Davis. Owen served in the US Air Force for 4 years and was discharged as a Staff Sgt. He had a career with Sears, Roebuck & Co. for over 37 years. Owen spent lots of time dedicated to his wife Margaret. He loved airplanes, cars and spent many years attending air shows and later enjoyed flying remote controlled airplanes with the Northeast Philadelphia Radio Control Club. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday February 15, 2020 9:00 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM.
