Obituary

Pasquale F. DiSpirito 94. On September 12 Pasquale (Pat) was reunited with Genevieve (Jean), his beloved wife of 70 years. He is survived by his four children, Nadine Silcox (Richard), Daria Potosky (Joseph), Michael DiSpirito (D'Arcy), and Neil DiSpirito (Elizabeth), thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews. Although his pride in his children and grandchildren was always great, in his last years those eight great grandchildren were the light in his life. Beyond his family his life was rich in many ways. Right after graduating High School he joined the Army. He was deployed to Japan where he became part of the first group of occupation forces after WWII. While there he was decorated for his work developing programs to help the local children. After his service and college he worked for GMAC for thirteen years. He left General Motors to start his own business, National Automobile Salvage Service. Throughout the years he was always willing to quietly share his success by generously donating to meet community needs. In retirement he supported Jean in her continuing charitable work and became a fan of every sport his grandchildren participated. Services will be held privately at the family's request. Donations in Pat's memory to Samaritan Hospice (3906 Church Rd, Mt Laurel Township, NJ 08054).
