Patricia "Pat" J. Macready-Gardiner

Patricia “Pat” J. Macready-Gardiner (née McFadden) passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, just shy of her 80th birthday.

Pat was the beloved wife of Jim Gardiner and a devoted mother to Rich Macready, Joelle Craig (John), and Heather Bernard (John). She was a loving and doting Mom Mom to Brianna (Matt), Kelsey (Joe), Brittany (Nick), Ashley, Jonathan (Tor), Zachary (Libby), Michael (Boo), Ann, and Shane, as well as 11 cherished great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her beloved sister, Anna McCafferty (Bob), along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Pat’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially making memories together at the beach. She loved traveling on cruises and looked forward to watching and “grading” the Mummers and string bands. She had a special love for animals and was always happiest surrounded by the people and things she loved most.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114 at 9:00 AM. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory to the Pennsylvania SPCA, 350 E. Erie Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19134, would be greatly appreciated.
