Paul G Hegarty Jr., July 23, 1958 to July 26, 2024

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Paul G Hegarty Jr of Philadelphia, PA who passed away on July 26, 2024 at the age of 66 surrounded by his family.

Paul touched countless lives with warmth and kindness leaving behind treasured memories that will forever be in our hearts. He truly loved his work as a carpenter and often said that he would never retire from the work that he loved, he was quite the master craftsman and even better friend to many.

He is predeceased by his father, Paul G. Hegarty Sr. He is survived by his daughters, Alexa (Scott) and Jill, his mother, Mary, his long-time companion, Kate Colfer along with his loving family, Marianne (Shawn), Karen (Steve), Michael (Susan), Helen (Sean), Julie (Scott), Tim (Jennifer) and many nieces and nephews and mother to his girls, Kelly McGinley Hegarty.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends.

Paul wanted to stress the importance of taking care of your health, go for those tests and procedures that we foolishly push to a later date. Early detection saves lives! He shared "if I can save one life, that would be his greatest gift for others".

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday August 5, 2024 at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 at 9:00 AM followed by his Service at 11:30 AM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
