Peter C. Monteleone

Peter C. Monteleone, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026.

Beloved son of the late Biagio and Rosina Monteleone, who traveled to America from Italy. Peter came from a large family, he was the youngest of 11 children. Peter is survived by his dear brother Anthony Monteleone (Debbee) of Marco Island, FL, and dear sister Dolly Stuhlman (Roy) of Philadelphia, PA. He is predeceased by his sisters: Angelina, Mary, Margarite, Rita & Lucy and his brothers: Angelo, William & Joseph.

He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.

A proud graduate of Frankford High School, Peter dedicated over 32 years of his life serving the community as a Philadelphia Firefighter. He loved traveling all over the world, especially to the Margate shore.

Peter was a much-loved brother, uncle and friend. He had a personality that made everyone who encountered his presence feel like family. He was affectionately known as “Uncle Pete” by all and cherished every moment spent with his nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM, with a service to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
