Peter F. Raymond, 83, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. Born to a legacy of love and dedication, he was the beloved husband of Marguerite (nee McGuckin) for 61 wonderful years. Peter was a devoted father to Audrey Oyer (Chris), Kelly Fallon (Tom), and Joy Raymond (John Gryn), and a loving pop pop to Megan Stanton (Nick), Colin Oyer, Katie Fallon, Michael Gryn, and Matthew Gryn.

Dear son of the late Peter F. Sr. and Laura (nee Yeager) Raymond.  He was the cherished brother of Barbara Moor (Rich) and Linda Hollman (Chuck), brother-in-law to Sr. Loretta Kathleen, S.S.J. and Joseph McGuckin (Rita); also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Peter proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was also known to family and friends as "Big Pete" was born and raised in Philadelphia, where he was a faithful communicant for 73 years at St. Dominics. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan (we won't discuss his love for Dallas also) and a season ticket holder for many years to the Eagles and the Phillies. He was a big Nascar fan and an even bigger supporter of our Philadelphia Mummers. You could always count on Big Pete to entertain the crowd with a Mummers strut.

Peter was incredibly proud of his children and especially loved his grandchildren.  He was happiest when he was with all of them.  He was a positive soul known for being the center of attention and making those around him laugh, especially with him and at him.  He was extremely thoughtful and selfless.  There was literally nothing he would not do for anyone else.

Peter enjoyed spending time in Ocean City and in the Poconos. He loved bike riding, boating, water skiing and being part of his bowling team.  He loved cheering on his grandkids at their sporting events but most of all, Peter just enjoyed sitting around and enjoying his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
